BBC Bitesize Film clips and learner guides to the skills assessed by each challenge and the Project at Foundation/National level.

Opportunities for visits. NMW site has learning section with Mini challenges and resources on KS4 Global Citizenship, KS4 Enterprise and Employability, and Community KS5.

Global Citizenship
 
Amnesty International KS4 and KS5 Challenge Briefs available from WJEC. Amnesty’s website has access to resources on Human rights issues.
AHDB (Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board) KS4 Challenge brief on sustainable food production.  AHDB website has resources for teachers on sustainable food.
Cadw Advanced challenge brief available. Resources available on website.
Cardiff University Research skills Designed to support students in researching the Individual project, but is also helpful on research skills, evaluation of sources and critical thinking for Global Citizenship, especially at KS5. 
Chwarae Teg Organisation promoting women in business and work.  Research papers may be useful research on Gender issues.
CITB KS4 Challenge briefs on Sustainable housing and Employment.
Centre for Alternative Technology CAT is an education and visitor centre on sustainability and green living.   Their website has the CAT information service section with resources on many aspects of alternative technology and sustainable living. CAT Archive section links to National Library of Wales archive.
Council for Education in World Citizenship Workshops and talks available on Global Citizenship.  Free resources are also available to download, on topics including nuclear disarmament, gender equality and children’s rights.
Digital Communities Wales Government funded organisation aimed at increasing access to and use of the internet. They have written an Advanced Community Challenge for WJEC.
Dwr Cymru Challenge briefs available for KS4 and Advanced Global citizenship. Teaching and Learning packs for Global available from website
Forest Stewardship Council Some KS4 lesson plans are available on their website.
Glamorgan Archives Large collection of documents relating to the South Wales area.  Excellent as a research tool for local issues or for the Individual project.

GOT (Getting on Together - extremism) Resources on Extremism. Challenge Brief and source pack approved by WJEC
Libraries Wales Online access to library books. Potential research tool for students.
National Assembly for Wales Resources Teaching resources and source packs on Obesity and the Sugar Tax.  Range of information on other Global issues including Health.  Some resources suitable for researching the project.
National Library of Wales Provide workshops and resources for teachers
Natural Resources Wales Range of KS4 and KS5 approved Challenge Briefs. Website has supporting teaching resources.
Oxfam Range of resources on poverty and children’s rights
Planet Magazine A magazine focusing on Wales and its international context. Some free material available from their website. The magazine is available on subscription.
Sustrans Resources and KS4 Challenge Brief on sustainable living
Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon Challenge at KS4 Global approved by WJEC. Resources on website to support teaching.
Save the Children Online resources and publications on a range of Global issues.
Shelter Cymru Online research on homelessness/housing/anti-social behaviour. Scroll down the page for links to their research papers.
True Tube Resources on PSHE/RE/Citizenship topics.
The Forestry Commission Statistics and research on woodland, forestry and recreation.
UK Parliament Teaching resources/lesson plans on range of issues including elections and equality and diversity.
Whizz Kids Range of information on disability issues.
 
Enterprise and Employability
 
Barclays Life Skills Lesson resources and information on teaching enterprise and business skills.  Volunteers can also visit schools.
Big Ideas Wales Site has link to the Enterprise Catalyst skills audit on entrepreneur skills.  Big Ideas Wales is available for talks/workshops on Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. 
Construction Industry Training Board Advanced challenge brief approved by WJEC
EESW (Engineering Education Scheme Wales) Advanced Challenge brief approved by WJEC
FACE (Farming and Countryside Education) Advanced challenge brief approved by WJEC
Hope House Challenge brief approved by WJEC. Dragons Lair activity may support skill development in students.
Intellectual Properties Office Advanced challenge brief approved by WJEC
National Museum of Wales Mini Enterprise Challenge and teaching resources.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Advanced challenge brief approved by WJEC
Velindre hospital Fundraising team have supported some schools in the Enterprise pitch

Christian Aid Opportunities for Fundraising.

Film Club Free films available to enable students to run film clubs.

Office of National Statistics Helpful for secondary data on range of topic areas.
