Sarah Davies
 
Sarah has experience as a head teacher in two very different local authorities in the South East Wales Consortium area. She has been head teacher of two 3-11 schools with special needs resource bases, in a variety of settings; including an inner city and rural school and as an executive head teacher. 
During her time in Newport she became Chair of Newport Association of Primary Head teachers.
 
Sarah’s career for the past fourteen years has been as a head teacher, and as an Estyn Inspector. She has lead schools with high levels of social and economic deprivation and in challenging circumstances. She has established a reputation for building successful school improvement systems into schools requiring rapid improvement and through her executive headship role. She has a strong track record of developing strong leaders; from within the organisations she has lead.
 
Estyn has described her as ‘providing inspirational and effective leadership’. She provided a case study for Estyn’s thematic report ‘Leadership and Primary School Improvement’.
 
Sarah joined the EAS in 2017 as a Principle Challenge Adviser attached to Blaenau Gwent LA.
