Julian Doroszczuk

Julian, prior to joining EAS, has worked within secondary education for 28 years, the last 16 as a successful head teacher in two different Local Authorities.

He started his teaching career in the secondary sector in England before moving back to Wales as deputy head teacher. He has taught in a range of 11-16 and 11-18 schools and in several local authorities across both South Wales and England. At 38 he became a head teacher of a secondary school in Swansea. During his time in Swansea he became Chair of the LA School Budget Forum and worked closely with Swansea University as a facilitator for their school middle leadership programme.

After ten years and several very successful ESTYN inspections, he was recruited by Cardiff LA to lead a school that had gone into special measures and improve its standards thus taking it out of the category.
During the next six years he established a reputation for building successful systems in schools in challenging circumstances through executive head teacher roles and working with the newly formed Central South Consortium.
Julian is a qualified Estyn team inspector.
