Jenny Williams
 
Jenny has enjoyed a long and successful career in education. She has experience of teaching and leadership in a range of 11 – 18 schools: a girls’ grammar school; inner city comprehensive school and rural comprehensive school. She has extensive experience of local authority school improvement in both primary and secondary schools in Wales, and of secondary school inspections.
 
She also has experience of a number of research and development projects, working with the Welsh Government, The Curriculum Authority (Ofqual), and the National Association for Able Children in Education (NACE). Research and development projects have included specific focus on: literacy, assessment, skills, progression, transition and leadership.
Qualifications work has included the leadership of GCSE and A Level English qualifications scrutiny.
 
Jenny currently provides support and challenge for a number of secondary schools in the region, and she leads the Raising Aspiration strategy to improve the attainment and achievement of more able and talented learners. Jenny retains a passion for ensuring that we have the best provision, support and challenge to create a consistent climate of high aspiration, expectation and achievement.
