Elizabeth Everson

On leaving School Liz studied for three years at the Royal Gwent College of Radiography.  Qualifying and working as a Radiographer at Llandough Hospital for a number of years.  Following a family career break Liz had a complete change of direction and commenced work in school administration in Tyn Y Wern School, Trethomas.
 
Liz was appointed Head of Governor Support for the Education Achievement Service (EAS) in September 2014.  Liz was previously a Governor Support Officer for 14 years with Caerphilly Local Authority.  Liz served as a Governor for some twenty years, three of which as Chair so she believes she has a genuine understanding of the challenges, and also opportunities to make a difference, that Governors have today.   Liz is passionate with regard to the difference Governor Support can make to the sometimes difficult job Governors undertake.
