Debbie Harteveld
Following a number of enjoyable years as an effective teacher in the South Wales Valleys Debbie progressed to Headship, running a successful Primary school for a number of years.
During her time as a Headteacher Debbie was seconded to the Local Authority (LA) to lead on a number of educational projects and programmes eventually leading to a full time appointment as a LA School Improvement Adviser. This work encompassed a wide brief including leading on assessment and moderation, Headteacher induction and leadership programmes and the LA Monitor, Challenge, Support and Intervention programme.
Since September 2012 Debbie has been part of the Senior Management Team in the Education Achievement Service, the regional school improvement service for South East Wales.  As Assistant Director Debbie has had the responsibility for the work of the Challenge Adviser team, affecting pupil outcomes across the region.  Most recently Debbie has taken up the post as Managing Director of the EAS.
