PTA UK - Developing Parent Voice at your School
PTA UK and Parent Councils UK are both committed to building parent participation so that schools can meet the needs of their communities.

Ofsted expects schools to listen and respond to parents’ views and looks for evidence of this when they carry out an inspection. They believe that it strengthens the school to have procedures for parents to be consulted. Inspectors in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland also look for evidence of parental engagement.

This guidance has been written to help you decide the best way forward for your school.
