Estyn survey of chairs of governors’ views on local and regional education services
11/01/2016
Dear Colleagues,

Happy New Year to you all.

I am writing with regards to Estyn survey of headteachers’ and chairs of governors’ views on local and regional education services

Estyn is asking all headteachers and chairs of governors for their views on the quality of the support, challenge and leadership in their local authority and regional consortium to help inform spring and summer term inspections of consortia.

The survey is open for completion from Monday 11th January and will close at 5pm on Friday 29 January. I would encourage you all to complete the survey, Estyn will use this as part of their evidence base when they inspect our region in May.

I will be writing to headteachers separately to encourage them to complete the survey, I will also be suggesting that they make links with you are their Chair of Governors to offer any clarity you may require around the subjects being explored within the questionnaire. Many of the issues Estyn explore in the survey are similar to the ones that the EAS have asked recently in our questionnaire.

Thank you in anticipation of your continued support.

Kind regards,

Debbie Harteveld
