Salary: SCP 8 – 13: £14,771 - £16,191 per year Grade 3
Full Time Permanent Post

 
The five local authorities of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen have formed an Education Achievement Service (EAS) which is designed to raise education standards in South East Wales.

The effectiveness of school governance and the quality of support for school governance is recognised nationally as a key factor in improving schools and raising standards.  The EAS Governor Support and Development service has a crucial role to play in ensuring that the national and local priorities for school improvement are delivered.
 
This role presents an opportunity for the successful candidate to assist in the administration of all matters concerning advice and support to school governing bodies.  The post offers flexible working, excellent CPD opportunities and access to the Local Government pension scheme.
 
The post will be based at the Llanwern Office (Newport) initially although the successful candidate may be required to work from the Tredomen Office (Ystrad Mynach) as required.
