August 2019: A/ AS Level results (Provisional on the day results)
Regional Press Release

The EAS would like to congratulate all learners on their achievements in this year’s examinations.  The efforts that will have gone into the achievements should not be underestimated and we wish all young people every success in their chosen next steps. There is extensive advice and support available for learners to ensure they are given the opportunity to access appropriate pathways following their results.

The education system in Wales is undergoing a period of change in how performance measures are used within the accountability system. One aspect of this change is the way in which local and regional aggregate pupil outcomes are reported. The EAS continues to work in partnership with schools and settings to offer a wide range of support that promotes high standards, ensuring that all learners make good progress and meet their full potential. The adaptive approach to learner support continues to promote improvement in outcomes, as does the close partnership work between schools within and beyond the region, the EAS and Local Authority support services.

Lynette Jones, Lead Education Director for South East Wales:

“Congratulations to all our learners across the region.  The adaptive approach to learner support continues to promote improvement in outcomes, as does the close partnership work between our schools, the EAS and Council support services. We wish all our students the very best as they continue to progress towards successful futures and fulfilled lives”

Cllr. David Yeowell, Chair of the Joint Executive Group for South East Wales:

“I would like to congratulate all our learners on their achievements – their efforts and hard work have been rewarded with some fantastic results. Well done to them all.”
