Angharad Reed

Following a secondary teaching career teaching Geography, Physical education and Religious Education to A level I was appointed Deputy Area Education Officer (Dyfed LEA)  On LGR in 1996 I held a number of portfolios before becoming head of the Community Education service and acting head of Resources and Development division. After completing the Estyn inspection training I was invited on secondment to HM Inspectorate and was subsequently appointed HMI becoming the Sector Lead for the local authority team and latterly acted Assistant Director. On taking early retirement I set up a consultancy and was Director of Recovery in Blaenau Gwent for periods during 2011- 12 and 2012-13. I also have undertaken preparatory work for inspection, change management in around half of the Welsh local authorities, a number of schools and undertaken complaints investigations on behalf of anumber of local authorities and schools.
